Apparently June 14-21 is Homeopathy Awareness Week. The more astute among you will have noticed that June 14 is a Tuesday, which suggests that with homeopaths characteristic care and attention to detail they have merely copied the dates from some previous year.
Still, it would be churlish not to contribute to this worthy enterprise. Let us all play our part in increasing awareness of homeopathy.
- Wikipedia has a good, balanced article on homeopathy, of course the homeopaths have tried to make it less accurate and less neutral over time but without much success.
- DEFRA made a statement that animal homeopathy is unethical, which is echoed by papers on the ethics of homeopathy in humans; there’s a nice writeup of this in Science Based Medicine.
- Stephen Law calls out homeopathy in discussion of his book “Believing Bullshit: How not to get sucked into an intellectual black hole”. See the New Scientist interview.
- James Randi explains homeopathy in his usual Amazing style
