George Chapman

George Stait Chapman is my dad. He worked, at various times, for Fulham Borough Council, The RAF (national service), Handley-Page and finally St Albans College. Dad's anecdotes are a bit of a family legend, and I will put some of them in here for your amusement.

  • Sqn-Ldr "Hazel" Hazelden, to test-house bloke Chapman crawling around in the guts of a Victor with a tenacious electrical problem: "Any more of this nonsense, Chapman, and I'm having this bloody aeroplane converted to gas!"
