Handwringer
From ChapmanCentral
A handwringer is the kind of person who, rather than taking practical action, wrings their hands and asks "why oh why". A classic theme among handwringers is "think of the children". Handwringers use numerous logical fallacies, especially misleading vividness.
Hand wringing is defined as:
- Clasping and squeezing of the hands, often in distress.
- An excessive expression of distress: handwringing by some experts over the state of the economy.
