Martlehat

A martlehat (aka plastic prophylactic, polystyrene foam deflector beanie, martian helmet) is a cycle helmet. It's called a martlehat because non-cyclist Eric Martlew MP thinks every child should wear one even when riding a tricycle round the park. I think John B might have coined the phrase, he certainly posted the picture.
