The Banana Mate™ is a simple device first developed in response to a question about keeping bananas safe on rides. It consists of a velcro strap, which you use to attach the banana to the top tube. Obviously nobody other than me uses the phrase, but this is my site so I can do what I like. The device wasn't my idea (Stephen Pridgeon gets to take the trip to the Patent Office), but I claim full credit for the name.
